On-Camera Voice Acting
Portia’s come a long way from the days she’d sit at the end of Lilac Street in Baton Rouge, Louisiana at least once a week starting at age 3. Each time Mom asked why she was sitting on the corner, her definite and hilarious answer was always: “I’m waiting to be discovered, Mama!”.
She fully expected a black limousine to pull up to the corner and take her somewhere and make her famous somehow. Fortunately, that never happened.
What did happen is being in stage play, “A Raisin in the Sun” while attending undergrad at Rutgers University, New Brunswick. It was then that she knew she must be an actor. She is grateful to have also caught the voiceover bug combining the love of film and stage to work and produce as a female voice over actor with truly amazing clients and partners from across the globe.
